Current Studies

I am currently attending Laurentian University and am in the first year of the M.Sc. Chemical Sciences program.

My advisor, Dr. Graeme Spiers is cross-appointed in Earth Sciences and Chemistry. This suits me perfectly, since my Undergraduate education is primarily in Chemistry, with a smattering of Soil Science, while my research experience is primarily in the Environmental Sciences.

My thesis research will be based in Environmental Reclamation. I will be looking at the use of paper sludge on mine tailings in Timmins, Ontario, particularly at carbon degredation.

In the meantime, I am taking classes in Environmental Regulations and in Surface Studies of Biomaterials. I also TA first-year chemistry and second-year analytical chemistry labs.
