Current Studies

I am currently attending Laurentian University and am in the first year of the Ph.D. Naturals Resources Engineering Program.

My co-advisors are Dr. Graeme Spiers and Stephan Hall. Dr. Spiers is cross-appointed in Earth Sciences and Chemistry, and is Director of the Centre for Environmental Monitoring (CEM). Dr. Hall is a professor in the Laurier engineering department and President and CEO of Mirarco (Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applicent Research Corporation). This suits me perfectly, since my Undergraduate education is primarily in Chemistry, with a smattering of Soil Science, while my research experience is primarily in the Environmental Sciences.

My thesis research will be based in Environmental Reclamation. I will be looking at the use of paper sludge on mine tailings in Timmins, Ontario, particularly at carbon degredation.
