Calgary

Flying into the Calgary airport, we rented a car and drove to the famous Calgary Zoo.

That evening, we checked into the Delta Bow Valley hotel. There was a latin street festival in the downtown with lots of food booths. We later joined my cousin Karen for dinner at the Keg, eating some of Alberta's justifiably famous beef.

The next morning we wandered around the Calgary downtown and ascended the Calgary tower, from which we saw the Saddle dome and the Olympic ski jumps.

Southern Alberta

Driving south from Calgary, we watched the flat prairies slowly transform into the rolling hills

Fort McLeod

	Fort Mcleod was an old RCMP fort in southern Alberta. Much like Old Fort William in Thunder Bay, it has been restored as a heritage site.
